The seductive,
scheming Eve was created as a mate for Adam from the life
force of Danielle Roget, a dangerously powerful and evil force
from the past. Eve not only embodied the 18th Century Roget's
evil spirit but her hunger for a forbidden past passion. Dissatisfaction
at the nature of her reincarnation,
she indulges in a sultry spate of appearances around the Collinwood
estate, and a dark alliance with the malevolent Nicholas Blair...
Marie
Wallace was born on May 19th in a New York City hospital
and grew up in the heart of Manhattan. She aspired to the
performing arts from an early age, appearing in an Off-Broadway
professional production while moonlighting as a model. Her
Broadway break came sharing the spotlight with Ethel Merman
in Gypsy. After a preview production in Philadelphia,
the show ran for a year and a half in New York.
During
a brief intermission, Marie worked as a staff actress for
NBC in their executive training program. After a only a year,
Broadway once again beckoned in an impressive range of productions,
including The Beauty Part, Nobody Loves an Albatross, The
Right Honourable Gentleman, Sweet Charity, Last Licks, The
Women and Mert and Phil.
Between
Broadway bows, She kept busy with more Off-Broadway, summer
stock, regional and dinner theatre, national tours, commercials
and some television. Her five year soap opera stint included
roles in Dark Shadows and Somerset, in which
she played the role of India Delaney. Marie's small screen
appearances continued out in Los Angeles for two years, including
filmed commercials, along with guest roles on Fantasy Island
and Fame.
Today,
Marie continues to reside in New York City. Marie's passion
for photography has led to a new profession with clients that
include New York Presbyterian Hospital, NYU Medical Center,
and Century Center for the Performing Arts. She continues
to make occasional appearances in commercials and television,
including most recently a guest role on the daytime drama
One Life to Live and a cameo in the 2003 film Liberty
X.
In
2003, Marie revisited Dark Shadows in the Return
to Collinwood reunion audio play. She played Jessica
Loomis, wife of Willie Loomis and co-owner of the Blue Whale
tavern. Marie maintains an online photo gallery on her personal
website located at www.mariewallace.com.
In 2005, she published a career memoir, On Stage and
In Shadows.
