to Collinwood
The sinister, self-seeking Gerard Stiles comes to Collinwood
with bogus news of Quentin Collins' death at sea. Beguiling,
vain and corrupt, he soon surrenders his body and soul to
the warlock Judah Zachery so that an evil agenda against the
benevolent Collins Family can be exacted from within the mansion's
walls. But Stiles soon learns that the high price for freedom
from possession and a friend's pardon brings about his ultimate
salvation...
James
Storm was born in Highland Park, Illinois. His birthdate
is August 12th.
Both
James and his brother Michael shared an interest in acting
as a profession. In fact, Michael took over James' role as
Dr. Larry Wolek on One Life to Live in 1969. In true
soap opera style, the changeover was explained as the result
of plastic surgery.
Throughout
his career, Storm has primarily worked in the soap opera medium,
beginning with his first television role on As the World
Turns in 1956. Besides the stint on Dark Shadows,
his other daytime drama credits included Capitol, The Doctors,
The Young and the Restless, Sunset Beach, and more recently
the role of William "Bill" Spencer on The Bold
and the Beautiful.
During
the 1970s James appeared in many small screen features, including
Venomous, Killer on Board, Kansas City Massacre, Without
a Trace, It Happened at Lakewood Manor, Murder in the First
Person Singular, The Healers, Scream of the Wolf and The Amazing
Spider-Man, along with Trilogy of Terror and The
Invasion of Carol Enders, both of which were helmed by
Dark Shadows creator Dan Curtis.
In
primetime episodic television, Storm's guest appearances include
roles in Hotel, St. Elsewhere, Blacke's Magic, The Rockford
Files, Barnaby Jones, Kung Fu, Planet of the Apes and
Mannix.
Storm's
stage roles include roles in Man and Superman, The Mousetrap,
War and Peace, The Lion in Winter, The Wild Duck, You Can't
Take It With You, The Secret of Body Language, The Unknown
Soldier and His Wife, On Borrowed Time and Henry IV.
More
recently, he co-starred in the film Firetrap for HBO
in 2001, along with a theatre stint in John Steppling's Dog
Mouth at The Evidence Room, which received outstanding
reviews.
Storm
also maintain a keen interest in country music and plays the
guitar. He has performed at the Palomino Club in Los Angeles
and recently issued an album, Shadow of a Storm.
Today
James and his wife live in California. He maintains a website

In
2003, James revisited Dark Shadows in the Return
to Collinwood reunion audio play. He portrayed Dr. Robert
Harper, a friend of Carolyn's with expertise in supernatural
phenomena.
