In November 2003, science fiction retailer 10th Planet celebrated the 40th Anniversary of Doctor Who with a mammoth signing session with Paul McGann for the celebratory audio story Zagreus. Joining Paul were India Fisher (companion Charley), writers Alan Barnes and Gary Russell and producer Jason Haigh-Ellery. This project was a seven minute promo video covering the weekend's events.

With Robin Prichard acting as cameraman, interviews were conducted with the guests and fans, which were edited into a selection of snappy soundbite montages around key questions, incorporating cutaways and general material shot throughout the day. A two minute music montage from the final photocall provided a closing sequence.

To open the video, the audio-only trailer for Zagreus was combined with scenes from the 1996 Doctor Who movie to create an abstract, nightmarish prologue. The images were graded in Adobe Premiere to an unnatural blend of blues and greens matching the CD cover graphics. The video's opening titles blended classic title sequences from the show to create a different take on the familiar signature images. Finally, a selection of photographs from the day were placed in montage, with Premiere used to introduce subtle rotation.
