Well, finally some time off work, so I've spent a little time today updating this site with some of my more recent work. So, in no particular order...

More Dark Shadows CDs are on the way, promising more Gothic thrills and spills. I'm currently working on a batch of new stories, which will be released later in 2008. There'll be more information as we gear up for recording.

I'm still working as Art Editor on Doctor Who Magazine, which fills most of my time. We completely redesigned the mag back in December to tie in with the Doctor Who Christmas special. We kicked off in grand style with an exclusive cover shoot featuring Kylie Minogue, that made us tabloid darlings for several minutes - "Exterminogue!", trilled the Sun excitedly. Three months later, we're still riding high on that publicity and have plenty of exciting things lined up to mark series four's broadcast and our upcoming 400th issue.

In other matters Doctor Who, I've also produced a couple of new Short Trips covers for Big Finish, and worked for BBC Books last winter on Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia, a colourful book filled with facts and figures from the last three series. Check out the links for more information.

After months of neglect, I've updated this site with my latest work and projects. The biggest of these is Big Finish's new series of Dark Shadows audio dramas, the first two of which are available now.

These CD stories are all-new stories, performed by the original cast in the radio drama format, with each disc containing a complete story in three episodes. In addition to producing the series, I've also written the first story, The House of Despair.

We had a great time launching the series at the 40th Anniversary Dark Shadows Festival last weekend, where we rapidly sold out of our initial stock. Hopefully these will be the first of many CDs, so please support the range, which you can purchase from Big Finish's Dark Shadows Reborn website and store.

Over the weekend, Big Finish announced their new range of Dark Shadows audio stories, which I am producing. As a long-time fan of the show, this project is a very personal one, which I'm thrilled to be a part of.

Big Finish's Dark Shadows will be a series of four single CD stories, produced to mark the show's 40th Anniversary. Dark Shadows Reborn is the project's official website, which will unveil full information on June 5.

I'd kinda forgotten about this page. Ahem. Elsewhere, today sees issue 366 of Doctor Who Magazine hit the newsstands, which includes an interview with elusive Doctor Who companion Maureen O'Brien. Should you encounter it on your travels, check it out.

Speaking of Doctor Who Magazine, I've also completed a lead illustration for the next issue, due out in March, along with the cover for the issue's free Big Finish cover-mount CD. Look out for it in a few weeks from now.

January's new-look Doctor Who Magazine includes a review of my DVD Daphne Ashbrook in the UK, which I'm pleased to report receives a very favourable verdict. Choice comments from columnist Vanessa Bishop include:

Stuart Manning's film is a very slick and professional piece of work, that moves a lot faster than the average Myth Makers or BBC DVD interview. Its graphics and David Darlington's easy-on-the-ear music lend it the feeling of daytime TV, but it's no worse for adopting that breezy air... Overall, hugely enjoyable and one of the best releases of its type.

Just added my cover to December's Doctor Who book Short Trips: A Christmas Treasury. This is my favourite piece of Doctor Who art I've done. The idea of a festive spin on the show seemed instantly enticing and hopefully the result has a flavour of winter in M.R. James territory, rather than Yuletide at Hallmark... Also on the subject of Doctor Who, my DVD Daphne Ashbrook in the UK launches this weekend at the Dimensions 2004 convention, along with my limited edition variant cover for Caerdroia. Be sure to check them out if you're there.
