The residents of Collinwood gather for a séance to make contact with Sarah. During the ceremony, the lights go out, and when they return, Victoria is gone, replaced by a woman in period clothing.

A disorientated Victoria wanders to a miraculously restored Old House, where she encounters Barnabas, who does not recognise her. She soon realises that she has been transported back to the year 1795.

Josette finally arrives at Collinwood. Barnabas' affection for his fiancée proves too much for Angélique, who calls on her supernatural powers to make him suddenly choke.

The local doctor is called, but can do nothing for Barnabas, who hovers close to death. Overcome by guilt, Angélique lifts the spell from her talisman, allowing him to recover.

Victoria is frightened by family servant Ben Stokes' resemblance to Matthew Morgan. Joshua makes plans for Jeremiah to marry Millicent Collins. Later, Angélique enslaves Ben to perform her bidding.

Angélique plans to use witchcraft to make Jeremiah and Josette fall in love. Using the enslaved Ben Stokes, she gains a lock of Jeremiah's hair and a ring to use as part of her spell.

Ben tries unsuccessfully to escape from Angélique's thrall. The bewitched Josette is remote with Barnabas and later confesses to a horrified Jeremiah that she has fallen in love with him.

Angélique uses a magic potion to make Jeremiah fall in love with Josette. Later, the bewitched pair meet and speak of their passion for one another, unaware that they are being watched by Natalie.

Intrigued by Joshua's disappearance, Natalie worries that Victoria is performing witchcraft at Collinwood. After reading her Tarot cards, she urges Barnabas to marry Josette immediately.

Angélique helps Josette prepare for her wedding, while secretly placing her under a new spell to prevent the marriage taking place. Possessed, Josette flees before the ceremony can begin.
