The 2000 Dark
Shadows Festival was held on the weekend of August 17, 18 and
19 at the Anaheim Marriott hotel in California, a debut location
for a Dark Shadows event. Though perhaps a smaller event
than seen in recent years, it succeeded in drawing many new fans
to the fold, with a large proportion of attendees having apparently
never attended a Dark Shadows convention before.
The weekend's guests were David Selby, Kathryn Leigh Scott,
John Karlen, Marie Wallace, Dennis Patrick,
Robert Rodan, Chris Pennock and Roger Davis.
Other highlights included John Karlen and Kathryn Leigh
Scott taking to the stage to perform the touching two-person
play Luv, along with David Henesy's mother, Jeanne Avery,
giving a talk about her son's time on Dark Shadows and beyond.
Darren Gross unveiled more recovered footage from Night of
Dark Shadows, including the stunning piano room flashback, completely
excised from the film's theatrical release.
Actress
Marie Wallace has graciously provided the site with a few
