The Haunted Halloween Party was a special event that marked Dark Shadows' 40th Anniversary. On Thursday October 26 2006, fans and stars alike gathered at Hollywood's historic Vista Theatre for an evening of spooky fun.

Actress Karen Black made a special appearance along with the original Zuni fetish doll, her co-star in the legendary 1975 TV movie Trilogy Of Terror, produced and directed by Dan Curtis.
In keeping with the Halloween theme, a first-ever Barnabas Collins Look-alike Contest was held. Composer Robert Cobert conducted some of his classic Dark Shadows music live on stage, while actors Kathryn Leigh Scott (Maggie), Lara Parker (Angelique) and David Selby (Quentin) dressed up as their original characters. David gave a special recitation of Quentin's Theme, Shadows of the Night. Rounding off the festivities, actress Barbara Steele (1991 Julia Hoffman) gave a tribute to Dan Curtis, before marking the event with a special handprints-in-cemennt ceremony.
