the New Dark Shadows

Format:
Filming was completed in
and around Los Angeles from April 3-23 on an hour-long pilot,
in consideration for a weekly primetime slot on the WB
for fall 2004. The WB network rejected the pilot and
attempts to find an alternative broadcast home have not been
successful.
Key
characters in the pilot are listed below. Sarah Collins, Maggie
Evans and Sam Evans did not appear, but would have featured
in the projected series and were included in earlier drafts
of the shooting script.

Cast
Alec
Newman Barnabas Collins:
British born Alec is 29 years old and starred in the
two Sci-Fi Channel Dune miniseries. His most recent
work includes a guest spot on Angel and the title role
in the upcoming Frankenstein miniseries.
Marley
Shelton Victoria Winters:
30 year old Marley's past work includes the big-screen
features Pleasantville, Never Been Kissed and Uptown
Girls. Dark Shadows will be her first leading role
for television.
Matt
Czuchry Willie Loomis: 27
year old Matt's films include Swimming Upstream, Eight
Legged Freaks and Midsummer's Night Rave, along
with recurring roles on the television shows Young Americans
and Hack.
Ivana
Milicevic Angelique: 25
year old Ivana is a Bosnian born actress whose credits include
the films Love Actually, Mail Order Bride and Vanilla
Sky. Her television guest credits include Charmed,
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Friends.
Blair
Brown Elizabeth Collins Stoddard:
Blair is a Tony winning stage and screen actress. Her
stage work includes Copenhagen, James Joyce's The Dead
and Cabaret. Her films include Altered States
and the upcoming Dogville.
Martin
Donovan Roger Collins: Martin
is a prolific screen and stage actor, whose film credits include
Insomnia, The Opposite of Sex and Malcolm X.
His television work includes the acclaimed miniseries Traffic.
Jessica
Chastain Carolyn Stoddard:
Jessica is primarily a stage actress, appearing in
productions of The Seagull, Trojan Women, The Grapes of
Wrath and several Shakespearean roles. She has also guested
on television's E.R.
Kelly
Hu Dr. Julia Hoffman: 36
year old Kelly is best known for her lead roles in the series
Martial Law and Nash Bridges, plus many television
guest roles. Her films include The Doors, The Scorpion
King, X-Men 2 and Cradle 2 the Grave.
Jason
Shaw Joe Haskell: Jason
has modelled for Calvin Klein, Lacoste, Gap and Ralph Lauren,
along with appearing in dozens of commercials. He has worked
as a fashion presenter for E!, along with appearing
in the film Save Me A Seat.
Alexander
Gould David Collins: Nine
year old Alexander is best known for providing the voice of
Nemo in Finding Nemo. His other work includes guest
spots on Malcolm in the Middle, Freaks and Geeks
and Ally McBeal.
Jenna
Dewan Sophia Loomis: 24
year old Jenna's background is primarily as a dancer, including
tours with Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin and Toni Braxton. She
has also appeared in the films The Hot Chick and
Hip Hopera: Carmen.
Alexis
Thorpe Kelly Vance: 23
year old Alexis is best known as Cassie DiMera on Days
of Our Lives. She has also appeared on The Young and
the Restless and the movies American Wedding and
The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Michael
D Roberts Sheriff George
Patterson: 46 year old Michael brings a wealth of television
experience, with roles in Friends, Beverly Hills 90210
and Seinfeld. His film credits include Manhunter,
Rainman, Suckers and The Golem.
Guest
Cast: E. J. Callahan (Old Man), Nathan Weiss (Boy
in Devil Costume), Doug Jones (Demon on Train/Double
for Barnabas)

John
Wells Executive Producer:
John is an acclaimed writer and producer of television
and film. His work has included executive producer credits
on television's The West Wing, Third Watch, E.R and
the movie One Hour Photo.
Dan
Curtis Series Creator
and Executive Producer: Dan created the original Dark
Shadows format, which he executive produced and directed.
In addition to helming Dark Shadows for the big screen
and its 1991 revival, he received acclaim for his epic miniseries,
The Winds of War and War and Remembrance.
Mark
Verheiden Executive Producer,
Series Developer and Pilot Writer: Mark is co-executive
producer of Smallville, for which he has written extensively.
His other work includes writing and producing the television
series Timecop.

Hogan Director: The
Australian writer and director's previous work includes the
hit cult film Muriel's Wedding, the feature film
My Best Friend's Wedding and last year's live action adaptation
of Peter Pan.
