 Barnabas' Vampire Van Rides Again! December 22 2002 

One of the most outrageous pieces of Dark Shadows tie-in merchandise ever produced has been revived just in time for Christmas. AMT-ERTL have just reissued the Vampire Van Construction Kit, which in a 1969 incarnation from MPC scooted Barnabas around Collinsport... no really. The new version retains its original Barnabas Collins figure, presented in his very own coffin, rebranded as a generic "vampire". The kit retails at $13.00 and is available in toyshops across the US.

 George DiCenzo's Acting Masterclass December 21 2002 

Fans and budding actors in the New York area can attend an Acting Masterclass from accomplished performer and onetime Dark Shadows associate producer George DiCenzo. Classes run at the Cherry Lane Theatre in Greenwich village from January 12 for 10 weeks. For more information, click here.

 David Selby at Large December 18 2002 

David Selby (Quentin) has filmed a small role as Vincent in a new film, Topanga Canyon. The project is currently in post production, with no release date announced yet.

 Dennis Patrick Remembered December 17 2002 

A public memorial for Dennis Patrick (Jason McGuire) was held on Saturday December 15 at the Theatre West, Los Angeles, where 10 years earlier he had performed in The Frogs. Attendees included Dark Shadows actors John Karlen and Kathryn Leigh Scott, scenic designer Sy Tomashoff, and many other familar names who worked with Dennis over his long career. Dark Shadows Festival director Jim Pierson produced a special video tribute of interviews and clips throughout Dennis' career, and the event ended with a standing ovation to his memory.

 Donna McKechnie Performs in Los Angeles December 16 2002 

Donna McKechnie (Amanda Harris) is to perform her autobiographical solo show Inside the Music from April 12-May 11 at Los Angeles' Colony Theatre.  New Website Celebrates Fandom December 14 2002 

Fans, Fangs, and Fun is a new Dark Shadows site from MrJuggins and Dee Kearney, the original president of Louis Edmonds' fan club. The site celebrates fandom during the show's original run with a host of rare photographs and original fan club newletters and documents. To visit it, click here.

 Lysette Anthony Performs in Pantomime December 11 2002 

UK fans can see Lysette Anthony (1991 Angelique) in pantomime over the Christmas holidays as the Evil Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The production runs from December 13 to January 8 at the Hull New Theatre. To see the production's handbill click here. To purchase tickets click here.

 A Nightmare Before Christmas December 6 2002 

As Christmas approaches, fans can enjoy the seventh annual Dark Shadows Christmas Round Robin Story, overseen by Bobubas on the Sci-Fi Channel's discussion boards. This year's story is entitled Nightmare at the Threshold, with a prologue by Dark Shadows novelist Stephen Mark Rainey and contributions from other fan writers, including Stuart Manning, the editor of this site.  David Selby On the Waterfront December 4 2002 

David Selby (Quentin) is to appear in a new Los Angeles Theatre Works audio theatre production of On the Waterfront, performing on December 11, 12, 13 at 8:00pm and December 15 at 4:00pm and 7:30pm at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. To purchase tickets click here.

 Christmas at Collinwood December 3 2002 

The Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, New York (Collinwood in the Dark Shadows Movies) is to host a selection of Christmas themed Holiday Evenings by Candlelight throughout December. Events are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays at 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30 and 7:00pm.

From the website: "Come and enjoy Lyndhurst at the height of its winter beauty. Experience the elaborately decorated mansion in the glow of candlelight, and celebrate a turn-of-the-century Christmas with live music, hot mulled cider, and holiday cheer. Stop by our museum shop for unique Christmas gift ideas." Admission is $11.00 for adults and seniors, and $6.00 for children. Reservations are required.
