Dark Shadows DVD Collection 18 has been announced for release on May 31 2005. The set features episodes 898-940, continuing the invasion of Leviathans, complete with a reunion in the present day for Quentin and Amanda.  News Digest February 20 2005 

Brian Kellow, author of the Joan Bennett (Elizabeth) biography The Bennetts: An Acting Family, will be reading excerpts and signing copies of the book at the Lincoln Center Barnes and Noble, located on 66th Street and Broadway, on Monday February 21 at 7.00pm. Actresses Penny Fuller and Marian Seldes will also be reading from the book.
Nancy Barrett's (Carolyn) guest appearances in the New York cabaret Judy and Bea have been extended to include two new dates, April 1 and 8. For more information, refer to our previous news coverage.
Dan Curtis' (Series Creator) latest TV movie Saving Milly will air from 9.00pm EST on CBS on March 13. The true-life story concerns a couple's ordeal with Parkinson's disease.

 Shadows Bites the Big Apple February 20 2005 

New York City's Big Apple Comic Book Show is to include appearances from five Dark Shadows actresses at its upcoming April event. Kathyn Leigh Scott (Maggie), Nancy Barrett (Carolyn), Marie Wallace (Eve), Diana Millay (Laura) and Denise Nickerson (Amy) will be meeting fans and signing autographs. The reunion takes place on April 1-3 at the Penn Plaza Pavilion, 401 7th Avenue at 33rd Street. For more information visit www.bigapplecon.com.

 Gilmore Ghouls February 3 2005 

Viewers of this week's episode of WB show The Gilmore Girls were treated to an unexpected nostalgic reference to Dark Shadows. Character Suki waxed lyrical about getting hooked on repeats of the show, before sitting down to watch an episode, represented onscreen with an actual Dark Shadows soundtrack. Matt Czuchry (2004 Willie) has enjoyed a recurring role on the show throughout this season.

 Nancy Barrett Cabaret February 3 2005 

Nancy Barrett (Carolyn) is to make two guest turns in Judy and Bea, a new cabaret from friends of the site Peter Mac and John Shaefer, who fans will know from their appearances at the Dark Shadows Festivals. The show takes place at Helen's Hideaway Room, located at 169 8th Avenue, New York City. Nancy appears on March 18th and 25th. For more information visit the show's website.

 People News February 3 2005 

David Selby (Quentin) will be signing copies of his book My Mother's Autumn at Spokane, Washington's Barnes & Noble Eastside bookstore on March 3 from 7.00-9.00pm. For more information, visit his official website. David shortly begins work filming a role in End Game, a new movie starring Cuba Gooding Jr.
James Storm (Gerard) has filmed a guest role for the new Discovery Channel series Guilty or Innocent. The episode is due to air shortly.

 News in Brief January 15 2005 

David Selby (Quentin) guests on radio chat show Sci-fi Overdrive, broadcasting on January 17 at 3.00am US EST. Listen to it online at www.scifioverdrive.com. David's upcoming Sci-Fi movie Larva has been pre-empted on January 15 for Tsunami benefit programming. It now airs on January 22 at 9.00pm EST.
Next July's Dark Shadows Festival is to feature a debut guest appearance from actress Kathy Cody (Hallie Stokes)

 Diana Millay Appearance January 10 2005 

Diana Millay (Laura) appears as a guest at New York City's Big Apple Comic Book, Art, & Toy Show, which takes place on January 22-23. Diana will be signing autographs and discussing her work alongside prolific Dark Shadows author Craig Hamrick. For full information, visit the event website.

 Jonathan Frid Portrait December 28 2004 

Photograph courtesy of Nancy Kersey © 2004. Reproduced with permissionJonathan Frid (Barnabas) recently celebrated his milestone 80th birthday. To mark the occasion, he shares this exclusive portrait with the site, taken by his longtime friend and colleague Nancy Kersey.

Nancy explains: "It's a fun shot of Jonathan holding up the last surviving yellow rose on a vine outside of his home in Hamilton, Ontario... It's held up through everything, just like him."

Editor's Note: Apologies for the lack of recent news updates. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. Work and Christmas managed to eat up most of my time during December, so here's a roundup of recent developments...

David Selby (Quentin) is currently filming Black Hole, a new TV movie for Sci-Fi. The film concerns scientific strife aplently when Long Island is engulfed by a black hole. Broadcast is expected during the 2005-6 season.
Next July's Dark Shadows Festival will now include a Friday outing to the Greystone Mansion, alias the West Coast's very own incarnation of the Collinwood estate
.

Congratulations to Lara Parker (Angelique), who has completed her Masters Degree in Fine Arts. Her new Dark Shadows novel, provisionally titled Revenge of the Vampire, is due for publication towards the end of 2005.
Marley Shelton (2004 Vicki) braves the WB network again in a new comedy pilot from Roseanne producer Bruce Helford. The show features Marley reflecting on life as a 25 year old woman in today's world.
Fangoria magazine's feature on the 2004 Dark Shadows pilot is now out on the newsstands - be sure to check it out.

 Happy Birthday Jonathan December 2 2004 

Many happy returns to Jonathan Frid (Barnabas), who turns 80 today. Jonathan remains one of Dark Shadows' most crucial contributors, and his portrayal of Barnabas lives on in the consciousness of millions of viewers. Jonathan retired to his native Canada in the mid 1990s, where he continues to reside. You can read about his current activities on his official website.
